I went grocery shopping today. And before I went, I actually sat down and cut coupons out for my grocery shopping. Yes, you read that right... I cut coupons out. Who would ever have imagined that?
When I last went to Giant to do my grocery shopping, they issued a book full of coupons which was valid till the end of October. I looked through it and found that there were quite a lot of items which were what I used normally and the best part is that the discounts were applicable in addition to whatever promotional price that was on. So I snipped away... and when I was paying I think the person behind me must have been quite annoyed as I really used a lot of coupons. Ha, ha, ha... the damage after discount was just over RM400.00... for a bachelor.
I have change somewhat... the dude who used to just see, take and pay is no longer in me. I am conscious of the price of things nowadays. How did this happen? Geesh.... honestly? I have no clue how and when it happened. I just remember me in a shop one day buying some stuff and I happened to grab a cream roll... you know the hot dog bun types that came filled with cream? I loved to snack on these... I was queueing to pay so I took a closer look at what I was holding. It was then I noticed that it was RM0.60 each. Shit!!! These things costs RM0.20 each back then! For RM0.60 I could get a sandwich loaf back then.
That was it... after that I started comparing prices... from that day onwards want and need were two different things to me. BUT... don't smile just yet... it just applies to groceries and what not. As far as my gadgets are concerned, want and need IS the same thing... and bargain? What's that? Ha, ha, ha...
When I want my gadget, I want my gadget. Nuff said. Ha, ha, ha...
