A Close Call

Today was a pretty normal day. Got home after work, had dinner, watched the 8:00 pm news and then my much awaited local TV drama Nur Kasih. It's quite good. I like the cinematography. I guess this drama is doing okay as it has its own Facebook page and also a dedicated blog. If I had ASTRO then I think I won't be watching this but CSI and Asian Food Channel instead.

After that I decided to drive out and try to bank in my car installment which was due and at the same time get some last minute groceries. All the Public Bank CDMs were Out Of Service so I'll have to try again tomorrow. I then decided to drive to Tesco and I chose to go via AKLEH. I ploughed this highway daily since it was built in 2001 and to my dismay when I came back from Kuantan they had allowed motorcycles on this highway... and for free too. Frankly, they're generally a menace. Yeah, yeah, you can go ahead and say I am inconsiderate and what not but I have been a rider myself. Anyway, here I am just after the toll headed to Ampang and accelerating... I'm on the right lane... suddenly this car from the middle lane starts to swerve into my lane and I had to jam on my brakes while swerving to my right towards the concrete divider and hitting the horn at the same time at which time the car quickly swerved back into its lane and I lifted my leg off the brake and started to accelerate again so I don't get my ass kissed. As I pull away I pass by and saw the IDIOT who was behind the wheel. She was laughing... WTF! She thought it was funny and do you wanna guess why she swerved? The IDIOT was talking to a motorcycle rider on the LEFT side of her car. WOI! Macam tu pun boleh kah? I know this is Boleh Land but come on! I really felt like bitch-slapping the both of them... TIU (That's FUCK in Cantonese)! I was swearing away like nobody's business... every foul word I knew came out of my mouth and in every language that I knew. It may be funny to her but she may have taken some lives. Not everyone is alert and not everyone could have done something to avoid her carelessness. IDIOT!!!

By the time I got to Tesco it was 11:00 pm. The sign showed that they close at 1:00 pm but when I walked around inside it looked like they were almost closed. Most of their perishables were finished. So, no more late night grocery shopping for me. I'll stick to my Sunday morning 10:00 am Giant grocery shopping.

On my way back I decided to take Jalan Sultan Ismail... I came across two groups of IDIOTS on motorcyles (known as REMPITS here). One group were the cub-chais while the other were on scramblers. Try as I may, I can't seem to understand what fun they get in zooming in and out of traffic around the city and being a nuisance to others. Sigh!

Boleh... Malaysia Boleh...
